Why Give Your Life To Christ.

Well said, Rev. Washington. I agree wholeheartedly! Giving one's life to Christ is a personal choice and sometimes we don't fully understand why we do it. Still, as we grow and mature we take on those same characteristics of love that Jesus exhibits. When understand that we ARE objects of God's love, our praise and worship takes on a whole new life!

I have given a lot of thought to this topic, "Why Give Your Life to Christ." I began to think more about why would I even consider not giving my life to Christ. When Jesus extended the invitation to "Come follow Me," I began to start searching the Bible for all His promises that He makes to His followers. Those promises are so divinely attractive to me, so much so, that I shutter to think what it would be like to leave this world without "tasting" God's goodness; his sweetness!!! I need so many things in my life that I feel no one else can provide me except Jesus Christ, i.e., unconditional love, mercy, faithfulness, grace, salvation and divine discipline and direction. I strongly feel that I receive an unexplanable comfort and sweet peace when the going gets tough in my life. I challenger unbelievers to please give their lives to Christ while there's still time.
Yes, it is very hard to forgive after someone has mistreated you. I believe that we should forgive, forget and move on with life. Otherwise, life will consume you and make it hard to live a good quality of life. Just as Jesus forgave on Calvary, we must forgive and live life to the fullest.
