The purpose of the Healthcare Ministry at Mount Vernon Baptist Church is to help the members and congregation attain, maintain and/or regain the best possible level of wellness of body, mind and spirit.
The goals of this Healthcare Ministry are to:
- ensure the safety and well-being of the children and youth of Mount Vernon Baptist Church;
- increase the quality and years of healthy living of our entire congregation by helping to prevent illness and injury, thus, protecting, promoting and optimizing wellness;
- introduce wellness programs in support of the Pastor's ministry of Christian growth; and
- collaborate with various community health agencies in an effort to offer and provide supportive health care services to our congregation and community.
